Walt Disney World Gone Virtual
Before you take your next trip to Orlando, Florida check out the new web site that has been set up by Walt Disney World. When you visit this fantastic web site you will see some awesome virtual reality that will blow your mind. The kids will love it, and so will the adults.
One of the more pragmatic chores you can do with this new site is to plan your visit to Walt Disney World in Orlando. What this means is that you can preplan your visit to Disney World without actually having to be at the park. This can save you tons of time and walking, and it allows you to plan only the activities your family wants to see. It also allows you to ensure that you do not miss something on the way.
This beats the usual tourists who are simply overwhelmed by the mind-boggling size of Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Now you can your tour with the help of a 3D Google Earth map created by The Walt Disney Co.
The map of the four theme parks and 22 hotels at Disney World contains everything you need from souvenir shacks to merry-go-rounds and everything in between. There are even marked the locations of benches for resting.
The map is hosted by Google Earth, an interactive 3D mapping program, which creates travelogues by embedding photos, videos and commentary about the various locations they showcase. This new creation was called by Disney the largest corporate initiative on Google Earth. All in all, about 100,000 photos from eight photographers went into 1,500 three-dimensional images of a variety of structures at Disney World, the company recently said.
According to Disney, nearly ninety percent of their park guests plan their vacations online, and this new creation will only make that chore easier for those guests. “Guests and travel planners can now explore our world with just a few clicks of a mouse, and they can book vacations while being immersed in what the destination has to offer,” Resorts Chairman, Jay Rasulo, said in a statement.
