Update on Orlando’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Harry Potter fans around the globe have been buzzing about the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter attraction to be located in Orlando, Florida. Now there is a bit of new news on the subject.

The author of the Harry Potter books, J. K. Rowling, has recently written a brand-new Harry Potter story which is planned to be used as the basis for a new mini-movie. Once the film is finished, it is rumored that it will be a part of the new theme park dedicated to Harry and his friend.

The new theme park will cover approximately 20 acres and will actually be an extension to Universal Studios Islands Of Adventure in Orlando. The current buzz as to its opening date has it opening in 2009 or in the early months of 2010. It will contain the village of Hogsmeade, the Forbidden Forest and Hogwarts Castle.

According to The-Leaky-Cauldron.org, the stars of this mini-movie, the usual trio of Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, are shooting the movie at Leavesden Studios in England, before the filming commences for the two films based on the final Potter novel, The Deathly Hallows.

A source said: “They are also working on extra sequences and clips which will be part of the rides. J.K. Rowling has been involved in everything. She wrote the story.”
