Toy Story Mania in Orlando

If you have children, you probably know about the phenomenal success of Toy Story. But did you know that you and your family can visit the Toy Story Mania at the Walt Disney Parks? In fact, Walt Disney World is hosting this fantastic experience.

Orlando’s Disney World is adding more to their Pixar presence with a new 3-D video shooting gallery themed after the Toy Story movies, and this looks like it will be a winner.

Once you enter you become a part of Andy’s world, the cartoon boy whose toys have come to life. As you move inside, you are made to feel as if you are being shrunk down to toy size by giant objects that line the hall, such as dice, checkers, and other bigger than life toys.

You will meet Mr. Potato Head who is a carnival barker. This is what Disney is calling one of its most ambitious audio animatronics ever. Mr. Potato Head dances, sings, and tells some corney jokes, all to the delight of those children watching.

Then you get on the ride. Each car will hold four people, and each person gets a spring-action shooter and an on-board computer to ring up scores. The gun is operated by simply aiming and pulling a string on the back.

The ride moves from booth to booth, where players aim at animated targets. This experience takes place in 3-D, and the technology is so sophisticated that even a missed shot will stick to the wall and stay there. Best of all, this fantastic ride is designed so each trip will be different.

This is a great experience if you are visiting Orlando, Florida. Don’t miss it.
