Toy Story Mania Coming Summer 2008

A major attraction is set to open at both Disneyland in Anaheim, California and Disney’s Hollywood Studios ( formerly known as Disney-MGM Studios) in Orland, Florida in the summer of 2008. Toy Story Mania, as the name implies, is based on the very popular Disney/Pixar Toy Story movies. According to the Orlando Sentinel:

(the ride)will allow visitors to ride through a virtual midway and play virtual midway games, all themed after the popular Disney/Pixar Toy Story movies.

To generate more excitement and interest in the attraction, which so far is the only new major attraction announced for any of the Disney World parks, Disney has created an official site . “Experience Toy Store Mania” has areas where visitors can see photos of Disney Imagineers assembling portions of the ride, early concept art, and images of the new ride vehicles. Visitors can also view a video that discusses the ride and what visitors can expect to experience when they ride for the first time. I’m sure the site will be continually updated as the opening date nears.
