All About Orlando

SeaWorld in Orlando is offering guests a bit more than the typical killer whales and underwater adventures. From November 6 through Christmas, every Tuesday, the water and wildlife park will offer visitors an opportunity for a free seminar.

The seminars are offered to all guests of the park on Tuesdays. The seminars are designed to be educational symposiums to offer interested parties a behind-the-scenes look at how the park operates as well as discussions and presentations by experts in marine wildlife and other related topics.

The seminars are included with park admission and Passport membership. To attend the seminar, simply buy a ticket for the day, and then enjoy the park until 10 AM. The seminars begin at 10 AM at the Sea Fire Inn. The Sea Fire Inn is located in SeaWorld’s Waterfront.

Seating is limited and is available only on a first-come, first-served basis. As few opportunities for such a guided tour exist, the event should be popular, so be sure to arrive a few minutes early to guarantee a seat and an opportunity to learn about the inner workings of one of the most unique parks in Orlando.

Other behind the scenes experiences include spending time in the dolphin nursery, interacting with Beluga whales, shark cages, and standard behind-the-scenes tours. The Terrific Tuesday seminars build upon the traditional experience offerings at SeaWorld by combining personal experiences among the marine animals with expert discussion and instruction by SeaWorld resident specialists.

While the Terrific Tuesday seminars are available to everyone, they are especially geared at older adults. During the same period, November 6 through Christmas Day, members of AARP are able to get a discount on admission. With a valid identification card from AARP, members are entitled to a $5 discount every day but Tuesday. On Tuesdays, the days of the seminar, the discount for AARP members is $8.

Admission to SeaWorld is $57.95 with a seven day advance purchase through the SeaWorld website. There are other admission packages available for multiple visits and bundled packages should your trip to SeaWorld be longer than a single day or include time at Busch Gardens or Discovery Cove.
