Some New Changes in Orlando Theme Parks
If you are visiting Orlando, Florida during 2008, be ready for some new and exciting changes at virtually all of the theme parks. The seven major parks are all planning and executing changes that are sure to delight everyone who visits and with over fifty million visitors a year, that is a lot of delight to hand out.
2008 seems to be a banner year for new changes and improvements in the theme parks. Some of the changes will be significant, and many others will be improvements and upgrades to existing rides and attractions.
One example is the official re-opening of the Spaceship Earth attraction at Epcot. This is slated to happen in February. The attraction has been open to visitors for the past few weeks. So far, reports have been very positive.
Disney’s Hollywood Studio has the new Toy Story Mania attraction opening later this summer. This ride has been getting some great build up press. As well, the new Block Party Bash parade will be arriving in March with much more audience participation than previous parades. The ABC Theater is expected to re-open during February. In addition, the brand new Playhouse Disney show has recently re-opened and has an exciting show that children participate in as well as watch.
Disney’s Parade of Dreams is expected to arrive at the Magic Kingdom in November, just in time for the holiday season. This will be a new parade and unlike anything seen at this theme park in the past. Those who want to experience history in the making should mark this one down.
Seaworld Orlando is witnessing the biggest change of all, with the opening of its brand new Aquatica park on March 1st. Aquatica is a water theme park with transparent water slide tubes that travel right under the water, which allows visitors to pass through the dolphin area and promises to be one of the most visited and popular destinations once it is up and running. This will be one of the must-see stops in Orlando.
This is only the start of the new changes and additions to the many theme parks in Orlando. As the year progesses, more information will become available to the public which makes it a good reason to stay informed on the new Orlando as it takes shape during 2008.
