Here are a few interesting links that caught my attention over the past few days:
The Disney empire is expanding once again, this time to Hawaii. It seems that the Disney vacation Club has plans to build an 800 room hotel and time share resort on Oahu. But what does this say about Disney’s long term plans?
October 1st marked the celebration of Epcot’s 25th anniversary. The folks at The Disney Blog have a nice summary of the festivities.
On September 1, Epcot opened the remade version of the film “Oh Canada!”. From what I’ve read, the remade version is not an improvement on the original. Kevin Yee at MiceAge has a pretty detailed 6 page review, complete with images from the film. If you’d like to avoid the spoilers, the folks at ReImagineering have an interesting take on the film, minus any spoilers.
As I blogged about earlier, Disney’s “Year of a Million Dreams” has been extended through 2008. Now, guests planning their 2008 Disney vacations can check out the 2008 Disney Dream Catalog. Browse the catalog and dream of winning giveaways that would let you become an Honorary Imagineer, or take a hot air balloon ride over Disneyland or Epcot.
