Magic Kingdom Character Dining

Along with the rides and attractions, something all children ( and most adults ) look forward to when planning a Disney World vacation is meeting the characters. Famous Disney characters can be found in the four Disney theme parks throughout the day. When a favorite Character is spotted, a line of children waiting for the opportunity to get a photo with their favorite characters forms quickly. Sometimes these lines can be quite long and children will get restless. But there is another way to meet the characters and avoid the lines at the same time - character dining.

Each park has several restaurants that offer character dining for some meals. At these meals, certain Disney characters will be at the restaurants and will make a point of visiting every table for photos and autographs. These are great opportunities to enjoy a delicious meal while allowing the kids to mingle with their favorite characters.

There are three restaurants in the Magic Kingdom that host Character meals:

Crystal Palace

The Crystal Palace is located on Main Street near the entrance to the Magic Kingdom. It offers character meals throughout the day - breakfast, lunch and dinner. If your children are fans of Winnie the Pooh and his friends Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet this is the place to visit. The meals are presented as all you can eat buffets, and range in price from $15-$29 per person.

Liberty Street Tavern

The Liberty Street Tavern, located in the Liberty Square area of the Magic Kingdom. This restaurant features character dining for dinner only, beginning at 4 pm. Characters appearing at this meal include Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and Pluto. The dinner menu is served family-style and includes colonial favorites such as roast turkey, carved beef, pork tenderloin, and all the fixins’. Meals range from $15-$29 per person.

Cinderella’s Royal Table

Perhaps the most popular character dining experience of all, at least among little girls, is found at Cinderella’s Royal Table. Located in the castle at the center of the Magic Kingdom, this restaurant features character dining for breakfast and lunch. At dinner, Cinderella greats guests in the lobby but no characters are present in the dining room. At breakfast and lunch, guests will meet Cinderella, Prince Charming, the Fairy Godmother, and the rest of the royal family. Prices range from $30-$50 per person. Reservations far in advance are highly recommended.

Reservations for all these restaurants can be made by calling 407-WDW-Dine. Reservations can be made up to 180 days prior to your visit.
