There is so much to do and see in Lake County, Florida, that one would have to set aside a great amount of time to experience even half of it. It you’re looking for a place to go on your next vacation, and you want a diverse itinerary, then Lake County, Florida should be your destination.
Unbelievably, there are over 1,000 pristine lakes, conservatories, preserves and state parks in Lake County. A visit to anyone of them is worth the trip if nature is your thing. In fact, there are many outdoor things to do here.
Walk along nature trails and see some of the more than 200 different species of indigenous birdlife, explore the beauty and wonder of underground caves, and immerse yourself in a natural spring and let the worries of the world wash off of you; if only for awhile. You can also find great fishing, hiking and kayaking as well. If you’re not into the outdoors thing, don’t worry. There are plenty of things to do that don’t involve the great outdoors.
Lake County is full of quaint little shops and unique boutiques. Spend a day perusing through them. You’ll be sure to find a memorable treasure to bring back home with you. If you want to run with the big dogs and shop till you drop then you should visit the humongous antiques mall. Amazingly, it’s situated on 117 acres and hosts more than 1,400 dealers annually. There are also farmer’s markets where you can get some of the freshest fruit in the area, and flea markets where you can find just about everything else.
Lake County, Florida is located just one hour from some of the best known attractions located in Central Florida. The residents of Lake County will tell you that if you want to come to a place that has lots to do and see, Lake County Florida is the place to be.
