Grinchmas at Islands of Adventure
The holiday season is fast approaching, and if you’re not interested in spending it with princesses and pixie dust come on over to the Universal Islands of Adventure where you can celebrate ( or not celebrate ) the holidays with the Grinch.
The Grinch who Stole Christmas was originally a beloved children’s book which became an animated film. Then, more recently, Jim Carrey starred as the Grinch in a major motion picture, and the film was added to the Must See list for the holiday season.
The Grinch was frustrated by the Christmas cheer in the nearby town of Whoville, and set out to make everyone as grouchy as he was. He dressed up as Santa Clause, and took his sleigh down the mountain to steal all aspects of Christmas. Only when he was on his way back did he realize the true meaning of Christmas and realize that the holiday is really worth celebrating.
Now, the Grinch has become one of the Must See events of the holiday season and wants to celebrate this Chrismas with you! Grinchmas starts on December 7 and lasts through New Year’s Day. The fun is included with the price of admission to Universal’s Island’s of Adventure.
If Grinchmas gets to be too much for you or you’ve had all the roller coaster fun you can stand, head over to Universal Orlando for a change of scenery. Universal Orlando is hosting the Macy’s Holiday Parade this season. The giant floats used in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will make repeat performances on a daily basis at Universal Orlando for all the visitors to the theme park that day to enjoy.
