An Old Fashioned Christmas at Cypress Gardens
Just outside of Orlando in Winter Haven, Cypress Gardens Adventure Park offers visitors an old fashioned Christmas event. The park is decorated with many of the original Christmas displays along with millions of twinkling lights. There is also a tremendous collection of lights, displays, shopping, food and more throughout the park.
Holiday displays are prominent throughout the park with lights and old-fashioned mantles of greenery. The shopping area of Jubilee Junction is decked out in holiday finery sure to lighten your spirits ( and your pocketbook. ) The park is also filled with music of all kinds. Old fashioned carolers stroll throughout the visitors bringing them holiday cheer through the gift of song.
There is also a collection of special musical shows prepared especially for the holidays. The Jingle Street Parade combines a procession of lights and a parade of Christmas characters marching in time to some of the most beloved holiday classics. Music also provides the background for the living nativity scene in the Miracle of Chirstmas show.
Santa has taken up residence at the park, at least during the day. The many faces and costumes of Santa Clause are on display in the Santa through the Ages exhibit with the jolly old elf himself waiting at the conclusion to provide the kind of finale children love.
A professionally choreographed ice show, Frosty Follies, has performances daily. The performances run twenty-five minutes and are comprised of dramatic and graceful acrobatics and spins set to stirring sounds of the season.
A full old fashioned holiday buffet is available at Aunt Jolie’s Country Kitchen and special holiday treats such as gingerbread men, cider, and roasted nuts can be found throughout the park. The eighty-foot tall tree at the entrance to the park is just the beginning of an exciting adventure fully dressed in holiday finery.
All holiday activities are included in the price of admission. Admission to Cypress Gardens Adventure Park is $44.95 for adults and children ten and up. Seniors and children ages three to nine are admitted for $33.95, and children under three are free.
