All About Orlando

Nothing says I love you like spending a fun-filled day with the grandchildren. Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has understood that premise for a long time and they have developed an entire day’s worth of activities that are both exciting for the kids and easy on the adults.

For those who have grade school aged ( or younger ) grandchildren, here are some ideas for fun activities at the park:

Starting in the Gwazi area of the park, visit the double wooden coaster. This massive coaster is the largest in the Southeast and is also the fastest double wooden roller coaster. The coaster contains more than one million board feet of wood and has more than two million bolted connections. It is a sight to see and a thrill to ride.

The next stop might be the rock climbing wall which children who are old enough to climb will love. This is a challenging, yet rewarding, experience. Have your camera ready for this one.

One of the most interesting shows for both children and adults is the bird show. Children of all ages love to see the wonderful colors and hear the exotic noises from these extraordinary birds.

For a very special treat, move along to the Land of the Dragons area. Adults can take a rest while the kids enjoy the wonderful activities located here. You will find a stunning three storey tree house, exciting slides, waterfall, rides of all sorts, and even a magical forest.

Just a short walk away is the Timbuktu area where you will find many different kiddie rides including a carousel, the crazy camel, the phoenix rides and many others. You will also find arcade games and other types of games suitable for children in this area.

There are plenty of shops along the entire way as well as places to pick up snacks and drinks. Afterwards, head out into the rest of the park and watch your grandkids beam with joy.
