Aquatica Officially Opens

It is now official! The Aquatica theme park in Orlando, Florida is now open to the public. This has been one of the most anticipated and talked about events during the last year and now it has finally opened.

What many people may not know is that this is the first new theme park in Orlando in eight years. It is an amazing 24-hectare water park, aptly named Aquatica. The park is designed to be very family friendly and the kids will love it.

Dan Brown, general manager for the park, recently said: “Our guests tell us we have a real winner on our hands.” The park includes a whopping 36 water slides and 11 million liters of rushing water along with SeaWorld’s signature animal interactions.

As soon as you walk into the park you see the park’s largest attraction, Dolphin Plunge. This is a wild 76 meter long black hole of spiraling tubing that shoots the rider through the middle of Commerson’s dolphins. You can also see the dolphins by staying on the ground at the Dolphin Lookout area. Here you can see the dolphins up close as they swim. Smaller children and seniors will truly enjoy this experience as it avoids them having to take the breathtaking Dolphin Plunge ride.

The Aquatica in Orlando also has a wonderful water float at the Loggerhead Lane which allows visitors to take a peaceful ride on the river. You can also experience an awesome 10,000-gallon exotic fish aquarium.

These are just a few of the wonders that you can experience while visiting this incredible park in Orlando, Florida. For those who love the surf, sand and sun, Aquatica is the place to visit. Children will find this a once in a lifetime experience and will probably want to return time and time again.

While it is true that Orlando, Florida has more attractions than ever before, the new Aquatica theme park will be one of the favorite destinations for some time to come. Why not visit yourself the next time you are in Orlando?
